Quercetin is a bioflavonoid, which is essential for vitamin C absorption. It acts as an antioxidant, an antihistamine and an anti-inflammatory.* Quercetin stabilizes the membranes of mast cells – cells found in connective tissue that release histamine and other substances when they come in contact with an allergen.* This causes the body to react, an immune response system that includes allergic symptoms such as runny nose and itchy watery eyes.*

Bromelain is a naturally-occurring, protein-digestive enzyme found in the stem of pineapple. In addition to being used as a protein digestive aid, the enzymes in bromelain inhibit inflammatory chemicals called prostaglandins.* Bromelain has been shown to decrease inflammation in conditions such as arthritis and sinusitis.*
