For toothaches and aching gums, Orajel 3X Severe Toothache & Gum Relief Plus offers immediate pain relief. Three potent medicinal substances work together in this solution to provide immediate topical pain relief.
Orajel 3X Medicated Gel Features:
- Triple-medicated gel relieves oral pain in the mouth and gums.
- Contains 20% benzocaine to relieve oral pain.
- Contains astringent to relieve gum irritation.
- Contains menthol to soothe gums.
Directions:
Apply a pea-sized amount of product to the affected area. Use up to 4 times daily or as directed by a physician or healthcare practitioner. Do not eat for one hour following use. Do not chew gum or food while numbness persists.

Active Ingredient:
Benzocaine 20%, Menthol 0.5%, Zinc chloride 0.15%
Non-medicinal ingredients:
Ammonium glycyrrhizate, aroma, Benzalkonium chloride, Blue 1, Polyethylene glycol, Sodium saccharin, Sorbic acid, Water.
Caution:
Allergy alert: do not use this product if you have a history of allergic reactions to benzocaine or any ingredient in the product. Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur. In such cases, discontinue use.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- Do not use for more than 7 days unless directed by a physician or healthcare provider.
Stop using it and ask a health care provider if.
- Swelling, rash or fever develops
- Irritation, pain, or redness persists or worsens.
- Symptoms do not improve in 7 days.
- The following symptoms appear:
- Weakness, confusion, headache, difficulty breathing and/or blue-coloured lips or nail beds may be signs of methemoglobinemia, a rare disorder, which may appear up to 2 hours after use.
Avoid contact with your eyes; if it happens, rinse thoroughly with water. In case of an overdose or allergic reaction, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Centre right away.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use if the Tamper-Evident Tab is open before first use. Do not use it on children under 12 years of age.
