Mölnlycke Mepilex Border Flex Lite is a thin, flexible, self-adherent foam dressing designed for non-exuding to moderately exuding wounds. Its highly conformable design follows the body’s natural contours while helping maintain a moist wound-healing environment.

Featuring Mölnlycke’s Flex Technology, this absorbent wound dressing moves comfortably with the skin and helps remain securely in place. Its unique four-layer construction absorbs, distributes, and retains wound exudate away from the wound bed. The breathable, waterproof outer film protects the wound from dirt, bacteria, moisture, and other external contaminants.

Choose the appropriate Mepilex Border Flex Lite dressing size based on the wound dimensions and the amount of surrounding skin that requires coverage.

How to Use Mepilex Border Flex Lite

Clean the wound according to your healthcare provider’s instructions, then dry the surrounding skin thoroughly. Select a dressing with a wound pad that extends at least 1 to 2 cm beyond the wound edges. This helps protect the surrounding skin from excess moisture and provides secure adhesion.

Remove the first protective film and apply the adhesive side over the wound. Remove the remaining protective film and gently smooth the dressing onto the skin without stretching it.

The dressing may remain in place for several days, depending on the wound condition and the amount of drainage. Replace it before it becomes fully saturated, when leakage occurs, or as directed by your healthcare provider.

Precautions

Do not use Mepilex Border Flex Lite if you have a known sensitivity or allergy to any of its materials. Do not use this dressing with oxidizing agents, including hydrogen peroxide or hypochlorite solutions.

Contact a healthcare provider if you experience signs of infection, such as fever, increasing pain, redness, warmth, swelling, unusual drainage, or changes in the surrounding skin.

This sterile foam dressing is intended for single use only. Do not reuse, re-sterilize, or use it if the sterile packaging is open or damaged. The polyurethane foam may develop a yellow colour after exposure to light, air, or heat. This colour change does not affect the dressing’s performance when used before its expiry date.
