Saline Solution Directions
Using the Addipak sterile saline in your nebulizer can be pretty easy. If you haven’t already, be sure to read the instruction manual that came with your device to ensure a smooth experience.
- Before you begin, make sure that your nebulizer has been sterilized and that you’ve washed your hands. It’s absolutely important that you clean any device that you plan on using for inhalation, as it can become a cause of infection and damage the airways.
- Prepare your medicine. Nebulizers are often equipped with a medicine cup where your inhalable ingredients are directly stored. Begin by adding your saline solution in one-milliliter increments, and other medicinal ingredients to the cup. When you’re done, re-attach the cup to the nebulizer.
- Following the re-attachment of the cup, there will be a mouthpiece or a hose that will need to be attached. When the machine is fully assembled, you can then turn the machine on.
