Select a dressing with a wound pad that extends at least 1 to 2 cm beyond the wound edges. This helps protect the surrounding skin from excess moisture and provides secure adhesion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRemove the first protective film and apply the adhesive side over the wound. Remove the remaining protective film and gently smooth the dressing onto the skin without stretching it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe dressing may remain in place for several days, depending on the wound condition and the amount of drainage.
